Florentina’s Footsteps Foundation was created in memory of Florentina Rose Burton, who despite all she endured, always managed to spread joy.
We devastatingly lost our beautiful daughter Florentina to neuroblastoma childhood cancer at the young age of seven on the 15th November 2024.
Florentina endured three and a half years of gruelling treatment, including countless rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, a stem cell transplant, two major surgeries, and CAR-T therapy.
Despite everything she faced, Florentina was a determined and truly inspirational little girl who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She built an incredible army of supporters who stood by her throughout her journey. I feel deeply honoured and immensely proud to carry on Florentina’s legacy in her name.
Our charity mission is to bring comfort and joy to children’s hospital wards across Essex and surrounding areas. We do this by delivering welfare packages, toy drops, play therapy sessions, snack trolleys, and hot meals for families. Wanting to create moments of happiness during challenging times.
